Moon Hurling (P.O.A.)

‘Moon Hurling’ is a large (2.2m) figurative sculpture which represents the human capacity for great feats; here a muscular androgynous figure is able to hurl the moon to a new stellar home and illuminate previously dark places. It draws from Issa’s own life journey and is a reminder that with courage anything is possible.
The work is created from mild steel, painted a brilliant red and then sealed.
‘Moon Hurling’ will be on display in the streetscape of Toorak Village as part of their 2014 Sculpture Show which runs from May 1 to June 15. (See www.toorakvillage.com.au)
